People often ask me "how do you use your black soap? Truly, the possibilities are up to your imagination, and depends on what you want it to do for you at the moment. Me? Sometimes I want a bar, sometimes I don't. But, regardless of my momentary soapie "issues," I like ease, convenience, and something that really works for my sensitive facial skin.
Based on request from tried and true customers, as well as blunt demands from friends and family (*smile*) I've determined that you love the soap, but much like myself, you need something a little less messy, yet gentle enough for daily use. Yes, all real black soap is strong, and some find it too irritating for sensitive and normal skin. Well, here's the results! Handmade the old fashioned way -- and yes, it's the same original African black soap that you've grown to love, that will also provide you with the same powerful results as a traditional bar of black soap. Only now, it's simply more convenient.
USES FOR AFRICAN BLACK SOAP: preventing and helping heal acne, general and deep skin cleansing, ridding the scalp of dandruff, and eliminating razor bumps and dark spots on the skin while improving texture, moisture, and brilliance. Traditional black soap also balances oil production in the skin, assist with healing eczema and skin irritations, helps prevent premature wrinkling, helps even and improve skin tones, and is also used to remove fungus from external body areas. You may find that if you've tried African black soap in the past, and found it to be too strong, that this nourishing formula is an excellent solution -- it thoroughly cleans, removes dirt and makeup without stripping your skin, and also performs as a wonderful shaving cream.
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: traditional "real" African black soap, exotic African herbs, quality raw ASBI certified Shea butter, papaya, plaintain, African Aloe, natural vitamin A, E, and C, iron, nourishing tropical oils, and purified and/or organic ingredients -- does not contain dyes, fragrance, or artificial colorants.
(*Personal Note: contrary to popular belief, "real African black soap" for skin care is not the color of jet black shoe polish, and does not leave violet dye stains after use. It's always about personal consumer choice, and artificial African black soap will probably remain popular because of its novelty. I believe that everyone should be informed about which version they are purchasing beforehand. I simply prefer traditional, real black soap, its moisturizing lather, and the fact that it doesn't leave dye stains that have to be washed away after using it; so, it will remain the only black soap that we offer, in liquid or bar form.)

DETAILS: this was a custom request basket (30th birthday present) for a local Subway store owner's wife.
I wrapped the finished product, in a beautiful large cello bag, and chose an exotic leopard print themed background, and tied it all together with a silky leopard print bow.
End result: he loved it! (Although I told him it was all "made from scratch"...he thought I custom ordered from the mall! *smile*).
I'm sure they both had a wonderful birthday!
