Organic African Black Soap Organic African Black Soap

Organic African Black Soaps, AromaKaye.com

There are numerous recipes for organic, traditional, African black soap. Throughout Africa's history, each family has formulated their own unique methods for crafting black soap, and their secret recipes are then successfully passed down from one generation to another.

We are excited about our recently imported version from Ghana, Africa, which we find to be the perfect traditional cleanser for providing rich, creamy, lather with no chemicals or animal fat additives. High quality - just as the organic black soaps has been that we have offered for two years - luxurious moisturizing lather, superior cleansing, wonderful texture, traditional "real" African black soap. We prefer this recipe because it cleans throughly without presenting problems with over drying or irritation that some versions we have tried in the past presented. We think it's perfect!

Wonderful and all natural - just as mother nature intended it to be.

Commonly Used Ingredients:  plantain leaves, vitamins A and E, iron, paw paw fruit, palm oil, sesame, Shea butter, cocoa pods, organic oils and herbs derived solely from Ghana, Africa.

Uses: Preventing & healing acne, deep skin cleansing, eliminating bumps and spots on your skin while improving texture and brilliance, and it also balances oily skin, assist with healing eczema, & aids in prevention of premature wrinkling. This wonderful soap is also great when used as shampoo for your hair, and leaves it conditioned and sensually soft. African black soap is wonderful & provides natural, effective skin care: it's one of mother nature's best kept secrets.

Product Review: Organic Ghana African Black Soap -  I was once very neutral about Traditional African Black Soap from Ghana (being unfamiliar with it) but, having used it for two years now, I love the texture, the look, the cleansing (less acne for me) and the softening effect it has on my skin! It has a mild, clean, natural smell (not offensive at all) just lovely; it's not oily, it's wonderfully moisturizing, and gives a scrumptious, creamy lather that is somewhat addictive! It is an excellent cleaner for all skin types & it's packed with plantain skins, palm kernel oil, vitamins and herbs, and coconut oil for added benefits to your skin.

History: African Black Soaps are called "Alata" in Ghana, and "Dudu Osun" in Nigeria. Black soaps are an important part of African purification rituals, and ceremonial rites of passage. These wonderful soaps are ancient products that are still used daily, and highly treasured in African households.

Organic black soaps are difficult to make, and for African women the process involve long hours of intense labor. They are used effectively for removing body odors, rashes, acne, ringworm, skin ailments, to thoroughly cleanse and even skin tones, and to help remove and prevent blemishes.

The production and importing of black soaps are a strong economic base for African women in Ghana, West Africa, Nigeria and other regions. The authentic, original recipes vary from region to region, and are highly guarded against outside communities. At AromaKaye.com, we appreciate your interest in African communities, women's empowerment, and the economic strength that each purchase provides.

Interesting African Black Soap Facts:

*Ghana's organic soap is called "black soap" because throughout the Africa's history, it was referred to as "soap that the black people used."

*Black soap is African Shea butter's companion product. They work simultaneously together, in harmony; thus providing optimum health for your skin.

*Black soap can be used by anyone: skin color, ethnicity, male or female - doesn't matter. It is soap!

*African black soap is imported in powder, paste, and completed "log" form. What is received in the states, depends strictly on which family crafted the end product, and which recipe was used.

*African black soap can be successfully incorporated into handmade soap products. Just use it in place of another natural herb, or additive. A small amount goes a long way.

*It is an often used, secret ingredient, in very upscale skincare care cleansers in small proportions.
